30 Apr Sara Goldberger of Cancer Support Community to Speak at NWSC
Sara Goldberger of Cancer Support Community will present two sessions in the Relationship and Family Track at the NWSC. Sara received her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, where she received the Dean’s Award for excellence in academic and clinical performance.
Sara is currently the Senior Director of Program at the Cancer Support Community Headquarters (a partnership of Gilda’s Club and The Wellness Community). She is responsible for the development and delivery oversight of clinical services across CSC’s 150 local sites, online and over the phone.
An oncology social worker for over 20 years, she was the founding Program Director of Gilda’s Club Westchester and then moved to Gilda’s Club Worldwide. Sara is a member of several advisory boards in the oncology community and serves in both formal and informal mentorship programs for oncology social workers.
Sara has been a board member of the Association of Oncology Social Workers and is the recipient of several national awards for her work in the field.
