COUPLES RETREAT: A JOURNEY OF COURAGE AND HOPE AT SURVIVORville

COUPLES RETREAT: A JOURNEY OF COURAGE AND HOPE AT SURVIVORville

A SPECIAL INVITATION FOR SURVIVORville
COUPLES RETREAT: A JOURNEY OF COURAGE AND HOPE

Women living with metastatic/advanced cancer can feel forgotten and disconnected –especially given the media attention and focus on those with early stage disease who have been gifted a good prognosis, a short treatment phase, and anticipate long-term survivorship and good quality of life. Living with metastatic cancer has several unique challenges and oftentimes significantly impacts not only the person with the diagnosis, but the couple and that relationship.

In an effort to break through the isolation, build community with others in similar circumstances, and foster sharing of the challenges couples face when managing a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis—Gilda’s Club Nashville, Pfizer, and SURVIVORville are collaborating to offer a special one-day free retreat, A Journey of Courage and Hope, specifically for couples impacted by metastatic breast cancer on Friday, July 21st. This retreat, limited to 15 couples, will be a day-long intimate experience allowing for meaningful conversation and connection—fostering both laughter and tears—with other couples who truly “get it.”  You will share wisdom, support, hope, and strength.

The next day, Saturday, July 22nd, you would be free to enjoy the numerous offerings of the SURVIVORville convention.

If you and your spouse/partner are interested in participating in this special retreat, please sign up at SURVIVORville.org. Space will be limited to the first 15 couples registered. SURVIVORville will be held July 20-22, 2017. Registration is free for all survivors.

Due to specific grant funding, couples impacted by metastatic breast cancer will have registration priority,  but we encourage any interested couples managing other metastatic cancer types to sign up.
